How to get there
Trains from Lisbon

The Organization informs every teams, that for the members of the Air Cargo Challenge'09 there are 25% discounts in trips between Lisbon-Covilhã-Lisboa, in the intercity express.

You just have to fill up the annexed document, and show it on the Counter (when you are buying the ticket).

The available trains to Covilhã, and also the fastest are:

To arrive to Portugal by airplane you have three possible airports, Lisboa, Porto and Faro. The Airports closer to Covilhã are Lisboa and Porto.

From the airports to Covilhã there are two major companies of transportation one by bus /coach and other by train.

Bus: Rede Expressos *

Train: Comboios de Portugal

From Lisbon Airport

By Bus

Outside the airport, take the bus number 31 to Sete Rios station (price 1,40€), or a taxi (price 8€). At the station take the bus to Covilhã (price 15€).

By Train

Outside the airport, go to Carristur stop and take the bus, or a taxi, to Oriente central station. There, get the train to Covilhã (price 15€).
There are two recommended trains each day.

From Oporto Airport

By Bus

Enter the elevator and press the Metro button. Go straight forward to the Metro (you may need to cross the parking lot). Catch the line E (violet line) of the Metro and get out on the Trindade Station. Catch the line D (yellow line) till São Bento (about €1,45). Go up the stairs and climb the Rua 31 de Janeiro on the left of the Train Station. Turn right on Rua da Batalha towards the Rua Alexandre Herculano. Enter the Garagem Atlântico and get the bus ticket to Covilhã.

By Train
